Andrew B. Roewe Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Andrew B. Roewe Memorial Scholarship was established to offer awards to graduates of Windthorst High School who exemplify leadership qualities and perform community service. This Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the memory of Andrew B. "Andy" Roewe, a loving family man, irrepressible character and a pillar of the Windthorst community.

Those who knew Andy have fond memories of him and will no doubt agree that the endearing term "character" fits him well. It seems appropriate that a person with such an energetic personality and long history of service to his community should live on, not only in our memories, but also memorialized in a tangible form. This Scholarship Fund was established with this in mind.

"Andy was such a special part of our family's life. I can remember going to the station to wait for Dad and he would always take the time to talk to you and make you feel so very important! He would always pat you on the back and say "What a fine Girl you are." Andy will always be the best memory I have of Windthorst. To me he made Windthorst the best place in the world! He was truly one of the "Great Ones.""
